Ten SLCG members and helpers turned up to get down and digging. Result: we took more than two garbage bags of highly invasive and unpleasant weed to a very different place.
How St Lucia's new Community Garden in Lex Ord Park South has come to be. The project is funded by a Lord Mayor's Community Gardens Grant, two major Walter Taylor Ward SEF grants (via the steadfast support of Clr James Mackay), large cash grants from Maiwar MP Michael Berkman and the SLCA, plus in-kind support from Bunnings Indooroopilly and our good neighbours Hillstone St Lucia.
