How St Lucia's new Community Garden in Lex Ord Park South has come to be. The project is funded by a Lord Mayor's Community Gardens Grant, two major Walter Taylor Ward SEF grants (via the steadfast support of Clr James Mackay), large cash grants from Maiwar MP Michael Berkman and the SLCA, plus in-kind support from Bunnings Indooroopilly and our good neighbours Hillstone St Lucia. Steve powered through the start of the inclement weather yesterday, barrowing a huge amount of mulch up the hill, but four other volunteers set to paint today had to stand down. BOM says it will be a bit wet every day for a week or so, so we'll concentrate on shifting lots of mulch this weekend.
